Government securities are considered risk free, hence the decision to invest the fund’s assets solely in Government of Ghana securities to meet the fund objectives.

Thomas D. Kwami has rich experience in investment banking, having worked with Databank Financial Services (Databank), Ghana's leading investment bank for a decade and a half. He joined Databank in 1998, after a 4-year stint with Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers).
Thomas worked with various units in Databank including Accounts, Corporate Finance, Brokerage, Retail (Branch) Management and Internal Audit. These skills ultimately led him to the Private Equity division of Databank where he spearheaded the agri-business initiative that resulted in Databank winning the mandate for managing the target $1OO million AAF SME Fund. Thomas was the Vice President of Finance for Databank Agrifund Manager Limited and led the setting up of the AAF SME Fund, Databank Agrifund Manager Limited and Carry Vehicle in Mauritius, prior to the recruitment of Key Persons. Thomas resigned from fulltime employment at Databank in 2013. He is currently a consultant to Databank Agrifund Manager and Zebu Investment Partners, both private equity fund managers of Pan-African agric/food Funds. Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree in Administration (Accounting) from University of Ghana, postgraduate diploma in Corporate Finance and Management from University of Sorbonne, France and an MBA in Accounting and Finance (with distinction) from University of Hull, United Kingdom.
Stephen Nketia Kyere is a Chartered Accountant (FCCA) and holds an Executive MBA from University of Ghana (2009). He had his Secondary education at New Juaben Secondary school (Njuasco) and Dormaa Secondary school.
Stephen worked 12 years in Ghacem, from 1997 to 2009). He began his carrier as a Cashier and rose through the ranks to Head of Sales and later Head of Financial Reporting.
At MANTRAC Ghana limited (the caterpillar dealer in Ghana), Stephen was a Chief Accountant for a year and then became the Finance Director for 8years.
He was then seconded to MANTRAC Tanzania as Finance Director for 4 months, to streamline their finance operations and implement group reporting.
Stephen is currently a Board serving member of OctaneDC Bond Fund Plc. He also serves on the Board of other companies including, Thonket Plantpool Ltd (Member), Pluslab Diagnostics (Chairman) and an Ex-Board member for MANTRAC Ghana Ltd.
Eunice-Sylvia Yamson
Eunice-Sylvia Yamson is above all a committed motivator dedicated to achieving the -highest standards at work and in private life and helping others to do the same. With over 20 years of General Management experience, Sylvia has experience in fuel marketing, financial management, SME banking, Lifestyle Management, Teaching and Consulting. In all these roles her focus was to define excellence in each peculiar context and help her team, colleagues, or clients to achieve it.
Both her education and career have enabled her gain experience living and thriving in multicultural environments from Africa, through Europe to the USA. This exposure gives her a unique understanding and appreciation of the dynamics of working with people whose views and values differ from hers with minimal stress and positive results. She successfully standardized and managed Shell's Non-Fuel Retail Business across 16 West African countries, with responsibility for the performance of over 200 retail outlets. She also successfully grew the Local (Small) Business Unit of Barclays Bank Ghana, from a small 3-man team to an effective nationwide team (over 20 members) with clear deliverables and budgetary control within 3 years. Sylvia holds an MBA from the University of Manchester, having previously studied Economics and Management Studies at the University of Leeds, both in the UK. Her commitment to lifelong learning has made her an avid reader on Self-Improvement and Coaching to enable her stay motivated and keep her teams on task. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends.
