Nana Yaa Obenewaah Obeng-Okon, Esq.

Nana Yaa is the Head of Administration and Legal at CIDAN and she doubles also as the Board Secretary.  She is a dedicated and versatile legal professional with extensive experience in litigation, corporate practice and human resources management.  She holds a comprehensive academic background in law from leading institutions across Ghana and The Gambia. With strong competencies in legal research, drafting, negotiations and consultancy, Nana Yaa has proven expertise in representing clients across various sectors, including business, human resources, and in compliance advisory.

Nana Yaa oversees the human resource and administrative functions of the company, ensuring efficient operations to drive organizational and strategic growth.  She also provides legal guidance and support, managing contracts and employee disputes while ensuring regulatory compliance.  Nana Yaa also offers specialized legal services in the area of negotiations and due diligence for various corporate transactions.

As the Board Secretary, Nana Yaa coordinates and manages board meetings as well as facilitate communication between the board, management and stakeholders.  She also provides guidance and support to the board on governance matters while maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of board decisions, minutes and resolutions.

In addition to her legal qualifications, Nana Yaa has completed multiple certifications in diverse fields, including intellectual property law, legal ethics, and public relations, all contributing to a well-rounded skill set.

Nana Yaa is an active member of the Ghana Bar Association and holds dual Bar admissions in both The Gambia and Ghana.
