Mr. Kweku Assane is a seasoned professional with over thirty (30) years of experience in management consulting, accounting and financial management systems reviews and development of financial procedures, re-engineering, financial accounting and financial management systems, developing of accounting manuals, review of internal control systems, due diligence reviews, business valuations, feasibility studies and preparation of corporate project documents and training & capacity building. He holds final certificates of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) and Chartered Institute of Taxation (Ghana). He also holds membership of both bodies. Mr. Assane has also completed Master of Business Administration Finance option from University of Ghana, Legon. He has held several key roles, including Managing Partner at Trust Assurance, Finance Manager at Universal Oil Company, Financial Controller at Water Aid Ghana and Account Officer at Tema Lube Oil LTD. His expertise spans financial systems development, internal controls, business valuations, and capacity building, with a strong focus on public sector reform and project evaluation. Mr. Assane has been involved in a range of significant consulting assignments, including a pilot project supported by the African Project Development Facility and the World Bank, focusing on financial assessments for Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the energy and water sectors. He also contributed to evaluating financial management systems for the Ministry of Health, providing technical assistance to the Aid and Debt Management Unit of the Ministry of Finance, and advising on improvements to project accounting and financial systems for the Ministry of Roads and Transport. His other notable projects include the commercialization of Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and the University of Ghana, Legon, monitoring European Union (EU) counterpart funding to the Ministry of Education, and compiling a manual for financial administration regulations. Mr. Assane’s consulting work also includes asset valuation for the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, auditing counterpart funds for the Ministry of Health, and participating in a productivity survey for the Internal Labour Organisation. Additionally, he led a review of the Ministry of Health’s user charges policy as part of their Medium-Term Health Strategy. He currently serves on several boards, including as Board Chairman for Trust Assurance and as a member of the boards for Perfekt Hygeniks Limited, the Volta River Authority (VRA) Audit Committee, Dalex Vision Fund PLC, Chocho Industries LTD, and Vemaplus LTD
